Opera has released worlds fastest browser. Their newest browser the opera 10.5 according to them is the world fastest browser incorporated with techniques which others do not have.

Google Acquires Picnik

Picinik.com was founded in 2005. Today i.e. March 1st Google has announced that it has acquired Picnic.com.

An official blog post in Google Photos Blog states that

More than ever before, people are sharing and storing their photos online. But until recently, you had to edit your photos using client software on your computer. Today, we’re excited to announce that Google has acquired Picnik, one of the first sites to bring photo editing to the cloud. Using Picnik, you can crop, do touch-ups and add cool effects to your photos, all without leaving your web browser.

Social Media Giant Twitter released an new stats about their daily tweets and popularity. The site which was started 2007 has become a giant in social media. The new stats revealed that more than 50 million tweets are sent each day in twitter from various twitter applications and via web as well.
This actively means that each second approximately 600 tweets are sent from various channels.

MTNL which stands for Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited has slashed its prices for new broadband plans. The usual prices were too much high as compared to the plans now. At one stage 256Kbps plan (Unlimited Bandwidth) was priced at Rs999 per month which was then slashed to Rs750 per month and now MTNL has gone further and is providing 512Kbps speeds at Rs599 per month.
